I know people were angry about jr. not getting the win but that was one of the best moments of the year when jamie mcmurray won the DAYTONA 500.

I know he won this race.. I am a huge Mac fan.. but teh guy is the worst luck driver in the history of NASCAR… this year has been tragic…and its only 12 races in *sigh*

jr. did awesome in this race right at the end, liked that im not even a jr. fan but that was a rly good shot at a win at the end, congrats to Jamie of course so many times he looked as if he lost the speed when he got pushed back up, awesome

Did anybody see where Jr got hit on the backstretch and kept motoring. He may have had some down times, but I don’t think we can question his ability to drive a race car.

If I owned a racing team and I had my choice of 4 guys I could pick, it would be Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart and Jamie McMurray

@burjkhalifa98 Roush had to get rid of Jamie because of NASCAR’s new rule that was going to start after the 2009 season, which was a NASCAR team can only have up to 4 full-time cars/teams. Roush had 5 full-time drivers in the Cup Series, and when he had to get down to 4, Jamie McMurray and the 26 team were the ones to go (mainly because his contract was up at the time).

roush didn’t kick jamie he switched teams by his choice i believe

@cookieboy17 Some drivers just need a change in teams. Jamie wasn’t doing well with Roush and then he switch and had success. Another example is Kyle Busch from Hendrick to Gibbs.
