@hawkman350 once he had beaten Mikkel Kessler who like i said was ranked no 2 in the world, who do u fight after that? if u fight rank no 20 or rank 10 u would be seen as a ducking sissy.
He needed money to retire and all America had to offer him was Roy Jones & Hopkins with big pay cheuqes,callzaghe,jones & Hopkins were all well past there best.

@hawkman350 End of the day Callzaghe got to rank no 1 in the world,won and held IBF,WBO,WBC,WBA,The Ring middle weight and The Ring light heavy weight belts. and the well respected Ring Magazine has put him down as one of the top 10 best boxers ever.
The most prestigous belts in the world,not just 1 of them but SIX of them, any fighter who wins just 1 of those belts is a good boxer.
He cant denied his achievments.

@hawkman350 See thats why u would make a teriible boxer if u was one. its NOT about knocking people out and damage,its about the winning,hence why boxing is called “the sweet science” there is more to it than just damaging people.
Callzaghe wasnt a power puncher he was about speed,and it proved to be a sucesfull style as everyone of his fights he threw & landed double or tripple more punches than his opponent.
Same as Muhamid Ali,he was about speed over strength.

@athleticguyUK Yeah I was at that fight, he did do pretty good to beat kessler, he just slapped him round though and didn’t do any real damage to him.

Mikkel Kessler was ranked no 2 in the world when Callzaghe was ranked number 1 in the world, who else could he of fought? he was no 1 and he fought no2!
U dont get ranked no 1 and no 2 in the world for nothing!

@showmanitotankaow i agree with everything you just said apart from the bit about mikkel kessler beating roy jones in his prime. although i think kessler is a great fighter i think that roy would have edged it, but apart from that i totally agree.
