Manny Pacquiao won a majority decision over Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in the third meeting between these two great champions. Most observers felt that it was Marquez who should have won the decision. Regardless it was a terrific fight and showcased boxing at its highest level. I’m a big Manny/Floyd fan. Truth be told, Manny lost the fight. Marquez would ve had to beat Manny convincinly to win. Boxing politics cost Marquez the fight and its understandable. Can you imagine the damage a Manny’s loss would ve done to the Manny/Floyd potential fight.

@AttaGirl20 thats true! anyone who thinks JMM won is wrong. Im mexican and I was rooting for JMM but if you watch it again with the sound muted, you can see exactly what you are saying, MP hit 3-4 times while JMM countered, and strongly but not enough. You cant “win” a title bout, you have to TAKE it away!

@michaelmega1 Are you honestly that stupid? Manny did not have an off night. What happened was he actually fought somebody that had boxing ability and was not going to stand in front of him and just get punched in the face like his past opponents. Everybody knows Pacquaio leaves way to many openings when he throws and Marquez exploited that and deserved the decision. Imagine what will happen when he faces Floyd, the best counter puncher, defensive fighter and has equal hand speed.

Manny won the fight, however, not as decisively as he should have, Manny had an off night, Shane Mosely, Antonio Margarito, Miguel Cotto would have conclusively prevailed against Marquez, but for some reason it seemed Manny coasted, perhaps to bait Floyed who knows, but Manny was not in his true form tonight.

@BlackOwnedDollars MP hit him 3-4 times and JMM counters with 1-2 to stop MP. At times MP would get caught under JMM foot and MP would not throw, but he still BLOCKED when he lost balance from bad positioning (foot/leg cramps?lol). Just because JMM fans booed MP and cheered everything JMM did people think JMM won. Like I said,”just because JMM shots were prettier doesn’t mean he did them enough to win the fight” Officially he lost w/e reason you want to throw out there JMM still lost (thrice).
