For people who do not want to go out and cast their bets, you can always do it online. There are Internet sites that allow people to place their bets there as long as they sign up for an account on the website. Once you have done this, you will find out that betting over the World Wide Web is not as hard as it seems. You just have to click which team you want to place a bet on, follow the other instructions and you are done. It is as simple as ABC.

For those who want to make NFL betting a source of income, then it is a recommendation that you acquire football betting software. They say that everything has a formula so that you can come up with the correct prediction. In this case, the variables used in the game are applied to an algorithm to get the right forecast. They say that if you use this software, chances are you will win around 14 bets out of the 15 that you make.

In addition, you can even bet with your friends. It will be a friendly bet, but still you can have that chance of winning some cash back. Just remember that you have to make the right choice to make sure that you get to win. It may be inevitable for you to lose, but there is nothing wrong in keeping your hopes high right? At least you have something to look forward to at the end of the game.

In whatever kind of NFL betting you choose, have fun while doing it. This is something supposed to be enjoyable even if there is money involved. In addition, you may be lucky enough to bring home the jackpot and share it with your friends and family. This is something you have to anticipate.

Online NFL betting is now hugely popular as you can see it featured everywhere from computers, newspapers, and on tickers in major TV programs. Baseball may be a national pastime, but it is football that Americans die for. Some of the key reasons for NFL betting being such a big hit are because there are only 32 teams in the league, and most of these games can be watched on free television. In addition, the teams play just one game a week, that makes it all the more easier for betters to follow this game, unlike basketball or football where matches are played every day. By a long shot, NFL is America’s favorite sport today and one of the prime reasons for its popularity is the simplicity of the betting process for this game. Leaving aside Online NFL Betting, gambling in sports by itself is an age-old addiction with gamers. British Open Golf Betting

If anywhere can be classified as the home of golf, it is The Old Course at St. Andrews and this is where we find ourselves this weekend for the 150th Open Championship. Who will emerge victorious and lift the Claret Jug? BetRepublic previews the outright market here.

Outright Odds:

Tiger Woods – 6/1
Rory McIlroy – 16/1
Phil Mickelson – 16/1
Lee Westwood – 20/1
Ernie Els – 20/1
Justin Rose – 22/1
Padraig Harrington – 25/1
Ian Poulter – 33/1
Graeme McDowell – 33/1
Martin Kaymer – 40/1
Steve Stricker – 40/1
Luke Donald – 40/1
Paul Casey – 45/1
Retief Goosen – 50/1
Ross Fisher – 50/1
Jim Furyk – 50/1

For a listing of outright odds for every player, you can visit Betrepublic Each way terms are ¼ for a top five finish.

British Open Golf Betting Odds : This event is possibly the most wide open and unpredictable golf tournament in many years, with the young chargers in Rose, Kaymer and McIlroy all in great form but will they be good enough to beat the old guard of Woods, Els, Mickelson and all?

Woods has had many, many problems on both personal and professional levels and will be looking to breathe life back into his golf career at his favourite course. Woods claimed two runaway victories on the last two occasions on the Old Course at St. Andrews in 2000 and 2005, but that was another lifetime ago for the world number one. Despite all the problems that he has experienced this year he has still claimed two fourth place finishes at The Masters and the US Open.

But he has changed his putter for this tournament, will that disrupt his play? His putting has not been his strong point this year, but maybe this change will revitalise him and inject something back into his game. Should this happen then 6/1 will seem a little on the large side. I feel that Woods will challenge for the win as this is favourite course and, while he may not win, backing him each way at 6/4 for a top five placing is excellent value.

Who else will be in the hunt for the title? On the home front both Rory McIlroy and Justine Rose are having great seasons so far. McIlroy was incredibly close to winning the Race to Dubai, only losing out to Lee Westwood on the final day of the competition, and he has won the Quail Hollow Championship this year plus he has had a succession of top ten placings this year. Rose thrust himself into the world spotlight at the Open Championship back in 1998 when, as a seventeen year old amateur, he placed fourth.

He turned pro shortly afterwards, but only recently has begun to show his potential. He has won two PGA victories since the start of June – the Memorial Tournament and the AT&T National – and is the form player going into this weekend. Lets also not forget Lee Westwood as the Englishman had a great 2009, topping the Race to Dubai leaderboard and he took second place at this year’s Masters. He also took victory at the St. Jude Classic a month ago, so he will be just as full of confidence going into this tournament as Woods, Rose and McIlroy.

After the crowd favourites are there any other players who may challenge for the Claret Jug this weekend? Of course Phil Mickelson can never be ruled out and he has an exceptional year at the Majors in 2010 as he won the Masters and finished tied for fourth at the US Open. Can he keep that run going? With the opportunity to claim the world number one spot from Woods with a win, anything is possible!

With the weather predicted to be poor this weekend, with today’s Champions’s Challenge tournament called off due to the weather, things could play into the hands of Padraig Harrington.

The Irishman has already won the Open on two occasions in 2007 and 2008, but did not perform overly well in the American majors this year. He will be more comfortable in Scotland and may pull off his fourth major victory come Sunday afternoon. Also in contention will be South African Ernie Els. He has two victories to his name in 2010 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the WGC-CA Championship and he currently tops FedEx standings.

He has finished in the top ten at the Open Championship on eight of the last ten times he has entered the tournament and he has claimed two second places and two thirds in those eight, with one of those second places coming at St. Andrews in 2000.

We’re all set up for an excellent weekend’s golf, but where should your money go? As I mentioned earlier i’m going each way on Woods at 6/4. The price is low, but it is still better than evens and despite Woods’ poor year I cannot see him finishing outside the top five.

Where else should we be putting our money? I feel that Justin Rose is in superb form at the moment, with two wins in his last three starts and despite being a little short at 22/1 I’m going to back him each way also at odds of 11/2 each way. My final bet is on Padraig Harrington.

The Irishman is due a win, or at least a good finish, and he knows how to win the Open Championship. Plus, as mentioned above, the weather may very well suit his game and at 25/4 each way, I feel he is an excellent value bet.

Practically, each squad, whether home, away, favorite or underdog, might be paying in specific cases, so don’t set limits low – there’s an edge for any of these cases.

I’m gonna look at those squads that ought to win, those favorites.

Though only 49,3% win against the spread, in certain occasions they are undervalued, for example if they lost their previous game and were fav in that game. In this case they are 50,5% against the spread. This comes from that loss, and one feel comfortable to wager on, for example, 15 point dog than a 5 point one, because you begin match with pretty large odds, although you wager worse squad.

And in case our 10+points fav moreover did not win last matchup with current opposition, we gain again a little odds movement toward our squad and that produces 52,3% against the spread for us. That number is just on the border of profit,so we will need minimum one more edge to apply to have moneymaking trend. Lets say that our squad, moreover lost 2 in a row, and hence its form is not looking too good.

This system will add our squad around 1,5 point edge usually or 56,5% ATS. Now, don’t think that you can find many double digit favorites losing 2 straight games. All the same it is profitable edge that is gonna get you winning plays. However don’t forget you should consider other influences that our system doesn’t take into account. Stuff like injuries, exhaustion or odds movements will impact the outcome of each match.

The point is: don’t wager blindly any edge, it might get your money. One must inspect completely the games for which the trend says you should get some edge. And thereafter make a decision is it wise to put hard earned cash on our big favourite squad.

This Thursday sees the introduction of some giants of the European game into the qualifying stages of the Europa League. Will they cruise through or will we see some major upsets?

BetRepublic.com previews three games featuring the big sides here.

Rabotnicki vs Liverpool Soccer Betting Tips :

A new chapter in the life of Liverpool football club gets underway this Thursday evening in Skopje, Macedonia as new manager Roy Hodgson and his men look to defeat the side that finished 2nd in the Macedonian league last season.BetRepublic.com make Liverpool the 1/5 favourites to claim victory in this first leg tie with Rabotnicki are available at 8/1 and the draw can be backed at 9/2.

Since replacing Rafael Benitez as manager of Liverpool on July 1st Hodgson has signalled his intent to make the fans forget last season’s poor campaign that saw the 2005 Champions League winners finish in seventh place in the Premier League.

Hodgson has brought in quality and potential so far with Joe Cole from Chelsea and Serbian striker Milan Jovanovi and #263; signing on as well as 19 year old Danny Wilson from Rangers. However, this good news has been counteracted by the fact that star striker Fernando Torres is out injured and midfield general Javier Mascherano has informed the club he will be leaving. Will Liverpool be able to put all this aside and defeat the Macedonians?

The team from Merseyside should have no problems in winning this game and Rabotnicki have only progressed past the qualifying stage of European competitions twice since 2000. On both of these occasions they were beaten in the first round – in 2006 by FC Basel and by Bolton Wanderers in 2007.

However, of the two sides, Rabotnicki are the more active having played four competitive games so far, beating Lusitanos in the first qualifying round 11-0 on aggregate, then beating Mika 1-0 on aggregate to book their place in this match. Will it make any difference for the massive outsiders?

I cannot see anything making any difference and I fully expect Liverpool to cruise to victory in this game. My money is on Liverpool to be leading at half time and then to win the match at odds of 10/11 and Liverpool to win by at least two goals at evens.

Shamrock Rovers v Juventus:

After defeating Bnei Yehuda 2-1 on aggregate over the last two weeks, Shamrock Rovers have booked possibly the biggest game in their history this week as they take on the Italian giants Juventus. Books, unsurprisingly, make Juventus the 1/5 favourites to win in Dublin, with Shamrock Rovers available at 8/1 and the draw can be backed at 9/2.

Just like Liverpool, Juventus had a poor season last year as the 1996 Champions League winners could only finish seventh in Serie A. They were knocked out of the group stages of the Champions League and they have now appointed their fourth manager in just over two years. Will Shamrock Rovers be able to take advantage of the chaos that Juventus seem to be in at the moment?

Rovers are well into their domestic season in the Republic of Ireland and are second in the league on goal difference alone after twenty-two games. They finished second in the league last season after going bankrupt less than five years ago.

They are currently undefeated in their last fifteen matches and will be no pushovers, but with players of the calibre of Gianluigi Buffon and Alessandro Del Piero in the Juventus squad, the Italians should claim victory in Dublin.

With the home crowd cheering them on I feel that Shamrock Rovers will get off to a great start and, while I feel Juventus will win, my money is on the game to level at half time and Juventus to win at odds of 3/1 and over 2.5 goals to be scored in the game at 8/13.

BetRepublic.com Recommends:

Liverpool/Liverpool HT/FT @ 10/11

Liverpool -1 v Rabotnicki @ evens

Draw/Juventus HT/FT @ 3/1

Over 2.5 goals to be scored in the Shamrock Rovers v Juventus game @ 8/13

World welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao was admitted to a Manila hospital to treat a mild stomach ulcer. He also needed a chance to rest after campaigning for the May 10 congressional elections.

Jayke Joson, Pacquiao’s chief of staff, said Monday that doctors discovered the 31-year-old professional boxer had an ulcer during a routine checkup Sunday. Pacquiao’s family convinced him to stay in a suburban Manila hospital for a few days to get some much needed rest and care.

“Really, Manny can only rest if you confine him to a hospital,” Jayke Joson commented, adding Pacquiao was receiving intravenous dextrose drips. “It’s been so intense a campaign, he missed some of his meals.”

Pacquiao’s boxing promoters are working toward a possible bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr., or another fighter, as early as November. The boxing world has been on the edge of their betting seats waiting for a Pacquiao Mayweather matchup. At sportbook.com you can already get in on the possible action between these two titans of boxing.

Pacquiao’s mother, Dionisia, commented that her son was well and may be discharged from the hospital later Monday or Tuesday, this is a good sign for any future match up with Mayweather or another possible opponent.

Pacquiao won a seat in the Philippine’s powerful House of Representatives, which he will assume on June 30, 2010. In addition to preparing to enter the political arena, Pacquiao has yet to complete advertisements for products ranging from food to sports items, Joson said. So his near future will be very busy. Will he have time to schedule another major fight remains to be seen.

Promoter Bob Arum has said he’ll soon start talking to Mayweather’s camp about putting together the world’s top two welterweights for a Nov. 13 bout in Las Vegas or Texas. This has the boxing betting world very excited and the bets are rolling in already, without the fight even being officially scheduled.

Arum said he hoped to match Pacquiao against former welterweight champion Antonio Margarito if talks with Mayweather fall through.

Who are you betting on in this possible match up? With perhaps the greatest two fighters of this era matching up it will be an experience every boxing bettor will want to get in on the action for.

Wednesday’s Champions League Betting : Sporting Braga vs Celtic

There are some big name sides in action this Wednesday evening in the third qualifying round of the Champions League. Who will take an advantage into the second leg?Online handicapping portal BetRepublic.com previews the three biggest games here.

Debreceni VSC v FC Basel @ Soccer Betting Tips :

This match sees the Hungarian champions take on the Swiss champions for a place in the playoff stage of the qualification section of the Champions League. Online sportsbook BetRepublic.com make Basel the favourites to win this first leg tie at evens ahead of Debrecen and the draw at odds of 11/5. Will the Swiss champions live up to their pre-match billing as favourites?

Basel had a reasonable season in Europe last season. They finished third in the same Europa League group as Roma and Fulham, only failing to progress on the final matchday as they lost 3-2 to eventual finalists Fulham.

However, they did secure an impressive 2-0 win over Roma before losing out to the more illustrious sides from Italy and England. They did secure the domestic double of league and cup in the 09/10 season in Switzerland as well and will be a major threat for Debrecen.

Last season Debrecen got a tough Champions League lesson as they lost all six matches as they were drawn against Lyon, Liverpool and Fiorentina in their group. They failed to score in four games, only finding the net against Fiorentina on five occasions in their two matches, but still losing both. They conceded nineteen goals in total in the six matches. Can they get one step closer to getting back to the group stage again by beating Basel?

I don’t see it, and feel that Basel are great value at evens for the win. I also see goals in this match as there have been eight in Basel’s first two league games of their new season and there were seven in Debrecen’s second round qualifying game, so my money will be on Basel to win @ evens and over 2.5 goals @ evens.

Ajax vs PAOK Saloniki:

This match sees the runners up in the Dutch and Greek leagues in the 2009/2010 season go head-to-head for a place in the Champions League qualification playoffs, but who will take victory in the first leg game in Amsterdam? Books make Ajax the 2/7 favourites, with PAOK available at 7/1 and the draw can be backed at 7/2.

Ajax are the more well known of these two sides after their Champions League exploits in the mid 1990′s that saw them claim the title in 1995 and lose the 1996 final on penalties. They are not the power that they once were – they have not won the Dutch league since 03/04 – but finished well in their domestic league last season but were beaten by former England manager Steve McClaren’s FC Twente by a point.

PAOK had an extraordinary season last year, but still managed to throw things away when they had the chance of a league and cup double, however they salvaged things by winning the end of season playoffs to book themselves a spot in the Champions League. They have had a poor pre-season and fired their management team, so they face a massive task to win this game.

I actually do not think they can do it and I fancy Ajax to lead at half time and win the game at odds of 10/11 and I see there being a few goals on top of this too, so I’m backing over 2.5 goals at odds of 8/11.

Sporting Braga vs Celtic:

Who will progress to the Champions League qualification playoffs in this matchup between the runners up in the Portuguese and Scottish leagues? Braga are the favourites for victory in the first leg tie in Portugal at odds of 19/20 with Celtic available at 23/10 and the draw can be backed at 9/4.

These sides had completely opposite seasons last time out with Braga gaining their best ever league finish, while Celtic were completely outplayed by Rangers throughout the season and finished six points behind their city rivals after they fired Tony Mowbray and replaced him with club legend Neil Lennon.

Lennon lacks experience and this match will be his toughest so far, can he get something from this game to ensure that the match is still alive when they come back to Celtic Park next week?

Neither side have played competitively since the end of their seasons in May, but I feel that Celtic should have enough not to lose this game. As a result I am backing the draw at odds of 9/4 with both sides to score at evens.

BetRepublic.com Recommends:

FC Basel to beat Debreceni VSC @ evens

Over 2.5 goals in the Basel v Debrecen game @ evens

Ajax/Ajax HT/FT v PAOK @ 10/11

Over 2.5 goals in the Ajax v PAOK game @ 8/11

Braga v Celtic to end as a draw @ 9/4

Both Braga and Celtic to score @ evens

World Cup Betting: Germany vs. Spain The second World Cup Semi Final sees the dark horses of the tournament take on the pre-tournament favourites for the second spot in Sunday’s final. Who will progress? Germany or Spain? BetRepublic previews the game here. Germany v Spain Soccer Betting Tip : Spain came into the tournament as the favourites, but the 2008 European Champions haven’t really lived up to that billing, while no-one was expecting much from Germany in South Africa but they have breezed past England and Argentina in the knockout stages scoring eight goals make Spain the 8/5 favourites to win in normal time ahead of Germany at 9/5 and the draw at 11/5.The odds are close, but who will progress? Both sides have lost one game in the 2010 finals, with Germany’s loss coming at the hands of Serbia in their second group game. That loss came after join top scorer, with four goals, Miroslav Klose was red carded in the first half and they conceded a goal just seconds later. They should have got back into the game but missed a succession of chances, including a penalty.

That goal was half of the goals that Germany have conceded in the tournament, with the only other goal coming in the game against England in the last sixteen stage. In comparison to conceding so few, the Germans are right on form up front and have scored thirteen goals, with twelve of them coming in three matches where they scored four goals. Australia, England and Argentina have all been swept away by the goal scoring abilities of this youthful German side, will Spain be able to hold them back? If they are to do so, they will have to improve vastly as, while they have been winning games, they have not been totally convincing in doing so.

They dominated all of their group matches, yet lost 1-0 to Switzerland, beat Honduras 2-0 and sneaked past a ten man Chile 2-1. They should have won all games by more, but, apart from David Villa – who has scored five of the six goals that Spain have scored – they are not finding the net with the regularity that a side that plans on winning the World Cup should do. Only against Honduras and Chile have the Spanish found the net more than once in a game and they will need to score more than one to beat the Germans, but are they good enough to do it? Against Argentina, Germany knew that they had to keep Lionel Messi quiet to give themselves a chance at progressing.

They did this with style and progressed easily, and they will now attempt to do the same with David Villa in this game. Should they keep Villa quiet then they will win this game, as Spain are not firing on all cylinders in front of goal. They are need several chances to score, while it is very likely that a German player, especially Klose and Thomas Muller who have scored four times each, will find the net from that very same chance. As a result of their work rate, defending ability and goal scoring prowess my money is on Germany to upset the odds in this game and I’ll be backing them to progress to the final within normal time @ 9/5. I also feel that there will be goals in this match, so I’m on over 2.5 goals at 6/5. Check out more top tips for this game at Soccer Betting Tip BetRepublic Recommends: Back Germany to beat Spain within 90 minutes @ 9/5 Back Over 2.5 goals in the match @ 6/5

The New Mexico Bowl gets the first taste of the Bowl spotlight with its date this Saturday night.

It features a matchup of the Fresno State Bulldogs taking on the Wyoming Cowboys. Online sportsbook have installed the Bulldogs as 12.5-point favorites, with an Over/Under of 55.

Bowl Game Trends:

- Fresno State has not thrived when favored by more than 8-points, going 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games with that situation.

- Wyoming has been solid in their last eight games when listed as an underdog in general – the Cowboys are 6-2 ATS in such situations.

SPORTSBETTING.com is reporting 70% of all the betting action on this bowl game so far has come in on the favored Bulldogs.

St. Petersburg Bowl

Also on Saturday, a bowl game that harkens back to the Middle Ages with the University of Central Florida Knights and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights meeting in the St. Petersburg Bowl.

The line in this one is much tighter with Rutgers favored by 2.5-points and the Total at 44.5.

The Scarlet Knights are -140 on the moneyline and in their last 20 games overall are 15-5 straight up.

The UCF Knights (+120 on the ML) are a decent 7-4 SU in their last 11 games overall but have been a very profitable 9-2 ATS in their last 11 starts.

Meanwhile, Rutgers has been atrocious when favored by 4-points or less, going 2-7 ATS in their last nine in that situation.

Central Florida is 8-4 ATS in their last 12 when an underdog of 4-points or less.

Online sportsbook are reporting a lean to the Scarlet Knights in betting action to this point, with Rutgers getting 57% of the volume.

Maaco Bowl Las Vegas

The 3.5-point favorite Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles will take on the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders on Sunday in the New Orleans Bowl but a more intriguing bowl takes place the following Tuesday when the No. 18 Oregon State battle the No. 14 Brigham Young Cougars in the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas.

The Beavers are favored by 2.5-points with the Total set at 61.

While Oregon State wanted a spot in a January bowl game (the Rose Bowl) it had to settle for one in December and bettors might want to look at their December numbers, as they are quite impressive.

OSU is 7-1 SU and ATS in their last eight December games and in their last 12 in that month are 9-3 ATS.

The Cougars, on the other hand, are 3-9 ATS in 12 December games dating back to 1996.

In the Beavers’ last 20 games when favored by 4-points or less, they are 15-5 SU.

The appetizers are being served and that should only whet the appetites of bettors leading up to the big January 1st and all the BCS bowl games.
