“para chuparla” Spanish National team in the plane heading back home to Madrid, Spain after their World Cup win in South Africa 2010 ft. david villa, pepe reina, sergio ramos and more

If you personal an Xbox 360 and Fight Night Round four, you may have downloaded the Champions Pack 2 via the Xbox Live Marketplace.

And within the event you did, probabilities are you are pissed off. Electronic Arts has now pulled the update from the about the net store, based on technical problems that had been leading to the game to freeze. Luckily, EA has suggested a way to fix the issue and it seems like their method does the trick (click perfect here to find it).

In case you haven’t downloaded the update yet, you will require to wait “more than several days,” according to EA. That still probably beats owning a copy with bugs, but it is annoying. Especially because PS3 users are experiencing no difficulty whatsoever. Oh appropriate, what’s inside of the pack you ask? Nicely, 3 new basic boxers – Evander Holyfield, Sonny Liston and Bernard Hopkins, in addition to Ring Rivalry mode and Aged School Principles mode. The Ring Rivalry choice lets you recreate traditional matchups of the past, whilst the Old University Principles mode is exactly how it appears… You will fight under the Aged, Old rules of boxing, established before today’s suggestions had been written inside the 1860s. As for any quality, the fighters look pretty correct, with Liston potentially a bit too small. But all round, it’s a wonderful addition to Fight Night Xbox game, with even more great options to pick from. And it’s quite cheap too, at just $10. Have the update? Tell us how it’s. Angry you can’t download it? Vent a small… you will really feel greater. If not, head to Fight Night Round 4 gaming arena and beat the crap out of the live opponent. Trust me, if that doesn’t make you feel better, practically nothing will.

Wednesday’s Champions League Betting : Sporting Braga vs Celtic

There are some big name sides in action this Wednesday evening in the third qualifying round of the Champions League. Who will take an advantage into the second leg?Online handicapping portal BetRepublic.com previews the three biggest games here.

Debreceni VSC v FC Basel @ Soccer Betting Tips :

This match sees the Hungarian champions take on the Swiss champions for a place in the playoff stage of the qualification section of the Champions League. Online sportsbook BetRepublic.com make Basel the favourites to win this first leg tie at evens ahead of Debrecen and the draw at odds of 11/5. Will the Swiss champions live up to their pre-match billing as favourites?

Basel had a reasonable season in Europe last season. They finished third in the same Europa League group as Roma and Fulham, only failing to progress on the final matchday as they lost 3-2 to eventual finalists Fulham.

However, they did secure an impressive 2-0 win over Roma before losing out to the more illustrious sides from Italy and England. They did secure the domestic double of league and cup in the 09/10 season in Switzerland as well and will be a major threat for Debrecen.

Last season Debrecen got a tough Champions League lesson as they lost all six matches as they were drawn against Lyon, Liverpool and Fiorentina in their group. They failed to score in four games, only finding the net against Fiorentina on five occasions in their two matches, but still losing both. They conceded nineteen goals in total in the six matches. Can they get one step closer to getting back to the group stage again by beating Basel?

I don’t see it, and feel that Basel are great value at evens for the win. I also see goals in this match as there have been eight in Basel’s first two league games of their new season and there were seven in Debrecen’s second round qualifying game, so my money will be on Basel to win @ evens and over 2.5 goals @ evens.

Ajax vs PAOK Saloniki:

This match sees the runners up in the Dutch and Greek leagues in the 2009/2010 season go head-to-head for a place in the Champions League qualification playoffs, but who will take victory in the first leg game in Amsterdam? Books make Ajax the 2/7 favourites, with PAOK available at 7/1 and the draw can be backed at 7/2.

Ajax are the more well known of these two sides after their Champions League exploits in the mid 1990′s that saw them claim the title in 1995 and lose the 1996 final on penalties. They are not the power that they once were – they have not won the Dutch league since 03/04 – but finished well in their domestic league last season but were beaten by former England manager Steve McClaren’s FC Twente by a point.

PAOK had an extraordinary season last year, but still managed to throw things away when they had the chance of a league and cup double, however they salvaged things by winning the end of season playoffs to book themselves a spot in the Champions League. They have had a poor pre-season and fired their management team, so they face a massive task to win this game.

I actually do not think they can do it and I fancy Ajax to lead at half time and win the game at odds of 10/11 and I see there being a few goals on top of this too, so I’m backing over 2.5 goals at odds of 8/11.

Sporting Braga vs Celtic:

Who will progress to the Champions League qualification playoffs in this matchup between the runners up in the Portuguese and Scottish leagues? Braga are the favourites for victory in the first leg tie in Portugal at odds of 19/20 with Celtic available at 23/10 and the draw can be backed at 9/4.

These sides had completely opposite seasons last time out with Braga gaining their best ever league finish, while Celtic were completely outplayed by Rangers throughout the season and finished six points behind their city rivals after they fired Tony Mowbray and replaced him with club legend Neil Lennon.

Lennon lacks experience and this match will be his toughest so far, can he get something from this game to ensure that the match is still alive when they come back to Celtic Park next week?

Neither side have played competitively since the end of their seasons in May, but I feel that Celtic should have enough not to lose this game. As a result I am backing the draw at odds of 9/4 with both sides to score at evens.

BetRepublic.com Recommends:

FC Basel to beat Debreceni VSC @ evens

Over 2.5 goals in the Basel v Debrecen game @ evens

Ajax/Ajax HT/FT v PAOK @ 10/11

Over 2.5 goals in the Ajax v PAOK game @ 8/11

Braga v Celtic to end as a draw @ 9/4

Both Braga and Celtic to score @ evens

Tuesday’s Champions League Betting – Lyon vs Bayern Munich Tuesday , 27 April 2010 at 20:45 CET This evening Lyon host Bayern Munich in the second leg match of their Champions League Semi Final tie at Stade de Gerland. Bayern hold the advantage after dominating the last week’s game, but Lyon only trail by a single goal. Who will progress and play in the Champions League Final in Madrid? BetRepublic.com previews the match here.

Lyon vs Bayern Munich Soccer Betting Tip (0-1):

In the first leg of this tie Lyon travelled to Germany with the intention of giving themselves something to play for in the second leg match. They were unadventurous and were completely outplayed by Bayern for the ninety minutes. However, they only lost 1-0 and gave themselves an excellent chance of becoming the first French side to reach a Champions League final.

Lyon have an excellent record at home this year and are on a run of nine games unbeaten in all competitions in front of their own fans, having won seven and drawn two. In the Champions League they have won five and drawn one match at home this year, scoring fifteen and conceding just three goals. Despite missing Jeremy Toulalan after his red card in the first leg, as well as having injury concerns over Cris and Michel Bastos, Lyon will be no pushovers and will believe that they can book their place in the final.

Bayern have their own problems with regards to injuries and suspensions, with Franck Ribery and Danijel Pranjic suspended as well as Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, Martin Demichelis and Daniel van Buyten all doubtful. On top of their player issues, Bayern have lost three of their five away Champions League games this season, including both away fixtures in the knockout stages.

Also, they have only won twice in their last nine away games in all competitions, drawing four and losing three of the other seven. However, they have managed to find the net in all of their last fourteen away games in all competitions and should they score an away goal it will more than likely be enough to see them through to the final.

Paddy Power have made Lyon favourites to win the match at 11/8, with Bayern available at 19/10 and the draw can be backed at 23/10. I am with the bookies on this one, as I feel that Lyon will be a completely different side at home than they were in Germany last week, and they will win the game. However, I think both sides will score in this match and I’m not sure that Lyon have enough to score three to progress to the final.

BetRepublic Recommends: Back Lyon to win the match @ 11/8 and both sides to score @ 4/6

Chelsea saw their dream of being in the Champions League final gone away when the Barcelona scored for the draw in the very last moment of the match. The idea of having the same final of last year aE” Chelsea vs. Manchester United aE” was no longer available since Barcelona just needed a draw to classify to the final. For a moment, Chelsea and their fans had that revenge feeling, thinking they could overcome last year’s defeat to United, but it was blown away just at the end of the match.

Bara did a really good job despite they were not having two of their starting centre-backs, among them Thierry Henry who was injured, but everything was set up perfectly by Coach Pepe Guardiola. The Catalan team played a very good and neat game in the first 20 minutes but after that it became little bit harder for them to keep the pace since Chelsea started giving problems to them offensively.

The goal for Chelsea came at minute 9th by Michael Essien, who had been out of the season for six months due to a knee injury, and gave the fans hope to be on the final again and take revenge of what happened last year when Chelsea was defeated by Manchester United on penalty kicks at Moscow in the final for last year’s UEFA Champions League.

The goal came as a big disappointment for Bara, who was playing really well, and after that they were just desperate to find a goal option that was not coming. They had to fight really hard since later on Chelsea had some good opportunities to score; however, but the Spanish team committed a lot of fouls as well and finally Dani Alves was punished with a yellow card that will leave him out for the next game, the final against Manchester. The referee was Tom Henning Ovrebo, who apparently did not call at least four penalty fouls that Bara committed against the English team that, of course, could have given the victory for the Chelsea team. The goal for Barcelona finally came at minute 93, with Chelsea fighting for every ball that was entering into the dangerous zone, trying to cover every space; but then, they allowed Iniesta too much room and he took advantage of it and scored the goal with a pass from Messi. Then the drama began for Chelsea players and the fans again when they got very upset after a ball that Michael Ballack kicked touched a defender’s arm, but for Ovrebo it just didn’t happen and didn’t call the penalty kick.

Ballack got a yellow card for protesting and a few seconds later the game was over and all the hopes for the Chelsea team were gone in a minute. For the Barcelona players the score was a result of real hard work. After the game, Iniesta said that aEoeWe did a spectacular job playing with a man less and especially after being kicked a lot and going through a tough fight,aE he admitted. aEoeWe deserve this because of our work and because of the season we are having. When you put in the effort, as we did in London, the rewards are obtained. This goes for all Barcelonismo.aE The final will be held at Rome on May 27th.

After Barcelona’s 1-1 draw on Tuesday against the Bayern Munich in the quarter finals return leg, they assured themselves a spot in the Champions League semifinals that will start in May. This is the second year in a row that Barcelona gets to the semifinals along with three other English teams: Chelsea, Manchester United and the surprise of the season, Arsenal. T

he semifinals will be played between Barcelona and Chelsea and between the defending champion Manchester United and the Arsenal, assuring once again that at least one English team will play the final, which is programmed to be on May 27th in Rome, and this situation has happened for five consecutive years, showing that England has some of the most talented football teams in Europe.

“The Premier League is the best in Europe to have three teams in the last four” Said Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wagner, whose team has resurged over this season on the most important European football competition. “It shows that the Premier League does a good job and let’s continue that. I believe that it you want to go far in the Champions League you have to play an English team at some stage.” For its part, Barcelona assured their place in the semis since the first leg last week, when they won over the Bayern Munich 4-0 in a game that seemed very easy for them to win, and now with this draw, they enter the semis with an aggregate of 5-1. This also shows that Barcelona has some of the best players in Europe making a very complete team in all of the aspects.

Last year they lost in the semifinals against the Manchester United and this year it seems that they are coming for revenge and that makes them look like favorites, however, they will have to face Chelsea first. For the Manchester United it is not going to be an easy task to take out the Arsenal from the semifinals. Arsenal, who had kind of a low start at the beginning of the Premier League season losing five of the first 14 games, it is now growing stronger along with their young players. They beat the Villareal in a very amazing way looking kind of relaxed in a return leg game winning 3-0. Manchester did their job sweeping aside Porto in the returning game 1-0 after a draw in the first game 2-2. Ironically, the goal that gave Manchester the victory was scored by Cristiano Ronaldo at the Dragao stadium, where he was booed and whistled by the Portuguese crowd. In the other hand Chelsea beat the Liverpool for a spot in the semis in a very exciting returning game; they where coming with a victory from the first game 3-1, Liverpool knew that it was almost impossible for them to equal that since they were not at home, nevertheless they had a great performance on Wednesday on which at the end the final score was 4-4.

The overall score was of 7-5 on Chelsea’s favour. The semis look to be very interesting; we will have to wait and hope to see great football among these four big European teams.

Champions League Semi Final Betting – Bayern Munich vs Lyon Live Soccer Betting Tip Wednesday, 21st April 2010 at 19:45 BST

The biggest sporting event happening in Europe today is the first leg match of the second Champions League Semi Final between Bayern Munich and Lyon at the Allianz Arena. Who will hold advantage going into next week’s second leg tie in France? BetRepublic.com previews tonight’s match here and offers some excellent value markets for you to bet upon.

Bayern Munich vs Lyon Live Soccer Betting Tip :

Both of these sides will be filled with confidence going into this match, with Bayern having won twelve of their last thirteen home games in all competitions and Lyon have history on their side, having won four of five matches played in Germany against German opposition in the Champions League. Paddy Power have priced up their markets on the basis of the German sides excellent recent home form and have made them favourites to win the game at 8/11. Lyon are available at 4/1, while the draw can be backed at 13/5.

I have to admit that I’m in the bookies camp and feel that Bayern will take a win in this game. As I have stated they have won twelve of their last thirteen home games, while Lyon have only won twice in their last ten away games in all competitions. Lyon have drawn four and lost four of the other eight games on the road. Despite this Lyon are out of the race for the Ligue 1 title and only have the Champions League to play for, so they will be going all out for to get something from this match.

However, Bayern have shown in the manner that they knocked out Fiorentina and Manchester United on route to the Semi Finals that they will not be easy opposition for anyone. Their 4-4 aggregate wins in both of the last two rounds of this competition saw them win the home games 2-1 and lose the away games 3-2 and they progressed on away goals on both ties.

I also see there being goals in this match as Bayern have scored in their last fifteen home games, with ten of those fifteen having both sides score. Lyon have scored in eleven of their last fifteen away games, with nine of those fifteen having both sides find the net. With so much at stake in this match I can see both of these sides putting the ball in the net as well.

BetRepublic Recommends: Back Bayern Munich to win the match @ 8/11 and both sides to score @ 4/5

Real Madrid’s hopes and dreams were smashed by Lyon on Wednesday, where the Spanish giants had a tied game but were beaten in the aggregate score, 2-1. No more final in the Bernabeu Stadium. No more Champions League. Real Madrid players were devastated by the result. This is yet another time Real Madrid has failed to advance to the quarterfinals; the team hasn’t made it since 2004. This year seemed to have incredible potential for Madrid, which was enjoying a winning streak and beginning to balance all the great new talent Coach Pellegrini purchased last summer. Even worse, the final was to be held at the Bernabeu Stadium this year. But Wednesday was not Real’s night; the team lost the first leg at France and had to make 2 goals in order to advance. And at home, there seemed to be real possibility. The game began well for Real Madrid, with strong energy in the players. Kaka was the first to make an attempt, but the goal was denied by Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. Only five minutes later, Cristiano Ronaldo took a pass from Gutis to the left and made a left-footed shot that ended up in Lyon’s net, setting the score 1-0 in the game and 1-1 in the aggregate. Real Madrid had opportunities in the first half to set the score 2-0, but the players were unable to score. Kaka, Ronaldo, and Higuain were all close but were unable to complete. The closest was the play made by Higuain at minute 25, when he skipped by the defense and passed Lloris to make an incredible shot aE” but the ball crashed into the near post, denying the Spanish team a second goal. The second half was a completely different story; the French team started on fire, producing great opportunities. The first came at minute 52 when Lisandro made a 25-yard shot that tested Madrid’s goalkeeper, Iker Casillas.

Casillas was clearly starting to feel the pressure produced by the French team. French attempts finally brought results at minute 75 when Pjanic took a pass from Lisandro in the area; with a volley, he then passed Casillas to score Lyon’s first goal in the game. After that goal, there was no way back for Real Madrid. The team, already lackluster in the second half, didn’t fight anymore. In fact, Madrid was lucky the French didn’t score again, as the team had more opportunities at the end. As the French players celebrated the victory at the end of the game, Guti said that Madrid hadn’t played well, not as it used to. “We should have played more like a team instead of playing like a group of individuals. In the second half, we didn’t play as we should. They started to attack when they saw that we weren’t pressing we had before halftime. That was the time to be a team. Now, we can only think about La Liga, which is all we have left.” Despite the loss and questions about his career, Pellegrini stated that he would stay with Real Madrid to the end. He had no intention of resigning and would keep on working towards the team’s next goal this season: La Liga.

A disastrous performance from Arsenal’s goalkeeper led to the team’s 2-1 loss against Porto in the first leg of the Champions League competition. Porto took advantage of Lukasz Fabianski’s two mistakes and assured itself victory at the Estadio Do Dragao in Portugal. Fabianski was scheduled to play Wednesday’s game against Porto after Arsenal’s starting goalkeeper, Manuel Almunia, was injured. The replacement didn’t go well for the Polish player, who tried his best but nonetheless struggled in the position. His first mistake occurred in the first half, at minute 11, when he was caught out of position by Varela. Varela took advantage of his absence and quickly scored the first goal. But fortunately, the rest of the Arsenal team was up for a fight, giving a hard time to Porto’s defense, creating several opportunities, and finally scoring a few minutes later, in minute 18. Thomas Rosicky took the ball back to the six-yard box and veteran Campbell headed it into the roof of the net to set the score 1-1.

The goal was Arsenal’s first in the Champions League since the 2006 finals. Fabianski tried to redeem himself later in the match, saving a shot from 25 yards from Micael that had the potential to add a second point for the Portuguese team, which was struggling to defend its title in the Champions League for the third year in a row. And indeed, much of the second half was not bad for Arsenal; there was an opportunity created by Rosicky that was blown away on what appeared to be a penalty but was not seen by the referee. The final disaster came at minute 51, when Fabianski contrived to pick up a back-pass from Campbell just inside the penalty area; after realizing his mistake, he threw the ball to referee Martin Hansson. It was then taken as a free kick right away by Porto. Micael quickly passed to Falcao for the Colombian to roll the ball into Arsenal’s arc. This second mistake sapped whatever energy Arsenal had left. The players didn’t fight back, and in the end, found complaints about the referee’s decisions and the unfairness of the game.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was furious at referee Martin Hansson. “I believe it was accidental, the back pass. Sol touched it accidentally,” Wenger said. “And the referee should give us time to build the wall. It was a massive mistake. It was a double mistake. It was a penalty for us as well when (Tomas) Rosicky went down just before.” For Porto it was a great night, giving the team a lead in the first match. Unsurprisingly, Porto’s coach, Jesualdo Ferreira, was pleased. The team is now getting ready to go to London and, hopes Ferreira, win again. Porto is a long-time participant of the Champions League and has been able to get into the last 16 for the sixth time this year. Will the team be able to win the title again? Chances, so far, are good.
