Then, the two groups faced off, to see which group would be have a better free-throw percentage. And the players who practiced visualization were actually more successful.

So what can you do with this technique? Set a goal in your mind for how long you want to last in bed, and picture yourself achieving it.

3) Erasing Negative Thoughts

At any given time, your mind is either dominated by positive or negative thoughts. It’s either one or the other. Your mindset can’t be neutral. It’s always positive or negative. So what’s it going to be?

Well, until you get really skilled at managing your mindset, negative self-defeating thoughts are bound to creep into your mind at some point.

Become more aware of the thoughts in your head. The next time you experience a negative self-defeating thought, recognize it, and immediately replace it with a positive thought. If you have the courage to recognize and stand up to your negative thoughts, you’ll gain control over your mindset.

The best way to increase your mental awareness is through practicing deep, meditative breathing techniques. And once you gain control over your mindset, you’ll last longer in bed.

Almost all baseball hitters at every level have a fear of the baseball to one extent or the other. True, the amount of fear does vary significantly. You may have possibly gotten hit by a pitch and it may have been a very painful experience and given you a very unpleasant lasting memory. Getting hit by a pitched ball can be outright disheartening and scary and you have every right in the world to be fearful. If this is the case, it’s going to take some time for you to have most of that fear fade away.

The best cure in the world is many, many at bats. The more at bats you have without going through this painful experience again is the best cure and you should be able to get your fear under much better control. Don’t ever be embarrassed about having a fear of the baseball. Many hitters have a fear and will not admit it. So trust me, you are not alone by any means.

Baseball Coaching Tips That Should Help:

1. Open up your stance and turn your head more toward the pitcher. It seems a little ironic to recommend turning more toward the pitcher if you already have a fear of the ball. But what happens is that you will see the ball much better. And just seeing the ball better will give you much more confidence that you can get out of the way of the pitch if you have to.

2. Make sure that both your front shoulder and front arm are not too high. Make sure they are low enough and do not come close to obstructing any of your view of the pitched ball.

3. With younger players especially, coaches or parents should pitch to them with a tennis or plastic ball and occasionally throw the ball right at them. Watch and enjoy as their confidence grows when they come to realize they can safely get out of the way of the ball. This is one of the best baseball coaching drills that can be used to help a player, especially if it’s a younger player.

4. And remember the safest way to get out of the way from an inside pitch. Tuck your chin in against your chest, bend at the waist and make a quarter turn toward the catcher. Think of it as if you are going to have a nose to nose argument with the catcher. This will protect your head and face, chest, stomach and groin area. You are much better off getting hit in the upper, middle or lower part of the back or the rear end than getting hit in the front of your body.

Let’s take a look at some baseball tips on hitting as to why these two hitting problems may be occurring as well as a few possible very easy fixes.

Problem Balance Poor:

1. First of all, make sure that you are very comfortable in your hitting stance. A good starting point is to have the feet about shoulder width apart or slightly wider. Usually, the width is about the same as if you were guarding someone in basketball and want to be ready to move left or right very quickly. You must have a solid foundation. It won’t matter if everything is perfect above the waist if you don’t have a solid base.

2. Make sure you are standing on the balls of your feet and not standing there flat-footed or even worse yet, standing with your weight on your heels. Standing with the weight on your heels may very well have you spinning like a top and that is not a good, solid foundation for effective baseball hitting and will destroy your balance.

3. Make sure your front shoulder remains closed. Opening your front shoulder too early will cause your foundation and balance to be severely disrupted and you won’t be steady on your feet. It will also cause many other hitting problems for you.

Problem Uppercutting the Ball:

Many good baseball hitters appear to be uppercutting the baseball. The only time you should be uppercutting is when you are into the follow through of your swing. Uppercutting is a sure way to lower your batting average. Let’s look at some possible reasons for uppercutting the baseball.

1. Your stance may be too wide. This will encourage your actual swing to be going upward when making contact.

2. You may be lowering your back leg, back elbow or back shoulder. It’s often referred to as collapsing your back side. If the back side goes down or collapses, the hands and the bat will go down also and you will be swinging upward to the ball.

3. You may be holding your hands too low and when the actual baseball hitting takes place, your hands will have nowhere else to go except upward and causing an uppercutting of the baseball. If your hands are too low when swinging, at the point of contact, you will not be swinging level and will be swinging upward to the baseball.

Hopefully these baseball tips on hitting should help you overcome poor balance or uppercutting the baseball.
